Creative Lithograph Co. was a commercial printing company in Oakland, incorporated in 1946. It printed a variety of works, including posters in 1967 for rock concerts at Bill Graham’s (1931-1991) Fillmore Auditorium designed by Wes Wilson (b. 1937) (BG-58, 60, 61 and 62) and Bonnie MacLean (b. 1939) (BG-64, 65 and 71). IT also printed reprints of the famous 1966 Jefferson Airplane poster by Peter Bailey (1924-1991) (BG-1) and Wilson’s notable 1966 poster for the Jefferson Airplane, Butterfield Blues Band and Muddy Waters (BG-29), featuring a nude woman dancing. Creative Lithograph was active until at least 1993. (Pulled from De Young Museum website by HER 10/20/17)
