Bio from Getty ULAN: A primary practitioner of Op Art, Riley began as a student of neo-impressionism, and then graduated to Op Art in the 1960s. She was featured in the The Responsive Eye, the MoMA exhibit of 1965, and in 1968, she won the international painting prize at the Venice Biennale. Riley's work is usually executed on a large scale, featuring hypnotic patterns. She has also worked in theatre design. British artist.
